Head-smacking good times courtesy of a critique

Early critiques back showing that, while I didn’t fall into the same old traps that I usually put myself in, there were several others that I wasn’t watching.  We’ll see what the others have to say, but “character progression” seems to be something that I was a little spotty with so far.  Interesting.
