Putting the “profession” back in professional writing

“The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield is my inspiration of the day.  Since I’ve been writing there have been times where I’ve let the world outside encroach upon my artistic endeavors.  Pressfield reset the importance that I place on my “art” and the value of dedicating myself to get my work out there.

It’s not a “how-to” book on writing and it’s certainly doesn’t fall cleanly into business or self-help categories (although the latter is where I tracked it down at a bookstore.)  For me this was an important book.
